Journals

Since its foundation in 1897, the Italian Physical Society (SIF - Società Italiana di Fisica) has promoted the progress of Physics in Italy and worldwide by means of the publication of journals covering the different fields of Physics itself.

The first of these journals was the monthly review Il Nuovo Cimento (founded in 1855) whose January issue of 1897 appeared for the first time with the subtitle "Organ of the Italian Physical Society".

Since then, many other journals have added up to the list, including also journals published in cooperation with European partners, always with the scope of favouring and promoting the progress of Physics.
