New Scientist Advertisement - Call for Director of the INFN Gran Sasso National Laboratory

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the position of Director of the INFN Gran Sasso National Laboratory (LNGS), http://www.lngs.infn.it/, one of the four INFN National Laboratories. The appointment is intended for four years (with the possibility for a renewal) and its starting date will be 1st October 2012. Candidates should have an outstanding record of research in particle physics or particle astrophysics. Knowledge of the scientific programme at the laboratory would be an advantage. Basic knowledge of Italian language is required. Applications should include a covering letter, a full CV, a list of publications, a short (no longer than 1 page) "statement of interest" and the names of at least two referees to be contacted, if needed.
