L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards

Created in 1998, the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Awards identify and support eminent women in science throughout the world. Each year, five Awards Laureates are recognized for their contributions to the advancement of science, in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences in alternating years.

For the first time, the 2019 Awards will designate five outstanding researchers in the Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science, each working in one of the following regions: Africa and the Arab States, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America & North America.

The Awards will be presented on March 14th 2019 in Paris to the five women who were selected by an international jury for their outstanding contribution to scientific advancement. Each of the Award Laureates will receive €100,000.

The next call for nominations for the 2020 Life Sciences edition will be opened in April 2019.
