SIF Statement against the invasion of Ukraine

The members of the Council of the Italian Physical Society (SIF), the President and Honorary Presidents, together with the whole staff of the Society, are seeing with sorrow and apprehension the tragic events due to the senseless war going on in Ukraine. They express closeness and solidarity to the victims of this conflict, which produces unjust suffering and so much pain, and they wish for a quick return to diplomacy.

Our thoughts and support go in particular to our colleagues who work in the academic, scientific and educational worlds with whom we share respect for human rights and the moral principle to alleviate human suffering.

Furthermore, the SIF strongly supports the EPS statement, which condemns the Russian aggression to Ukraine and invites to read it.
