The US National Medal of Technology and Innovation 2010 to Professor Federico Faggin

Federico Faggin, Marcian E. "Ted" Hoff Jr. and Stanley Mazor have been awarded the US National Medal of Technology and Innovation 2010. This medal is the highest honour for technological achievement bestowed by the President of the United States on America's leading innovators. Federico Faggin was born in Italy, he graduated in physics at the University of Padova and he is now an american citizen. Faggin is the inventor of the "Silicon Gate Technology (SGT)" and one of the accredited inventors of the modern microprocessor.
